[Guide] before your exchange account gets hacked — the 2FA & security settings you MUST do

your ACCOUNT often gets hacked before your coins do. at minimum, do these: 1. 2FA via an authenticator app (Google/Authy), NOT SMS. SMS gets defeated by SIM swaps 2. Never reuse your exchange password on other sites (leaked DBs → credential stuffing) 3. Set a withdrawal whitelist — funds only leave to pre-approved addresses 4. When making API keys, disable 'withdraw' permission and set an IP whitelist 5. Watch for phishing: fake sites a letter off, fake apps. Only enter via your own bookmark bottom line: no matter how safe the exchange is, if YOUR account security breaks, it's over. 5 minutes now = peace of mind for life.
