[Guide] What is RWA (real-world asset tokenization)? Why it's tipped as the next narrative

IronLion2202(119.122)6/16/20261,740
RWA chatter is everywhere lately, so: RWA = real assets (treasuries, real estate, gold, bonds) put on-chain as tokens. Perks: 24/7 trading, fractional ownership, instant settlement โ€” a structure institutions like, so it's seen as 'the on-ramp for regulated money.' watch-outs: 1. You ultimately have to TRUST the issuer (is the real asset actually there, is it audited?) 2. Heavy regulatory exposure โ€” if classified as securities, the game changes 3. Even as on-chain tokens, real redemption is off-chain, so a gap can open the narrative is strong, but an RWA without real backing + compliance is just another token. Separating wheat from chaff is everything.
