restaking pays extra yield — it's not free though right? what's the actual risk?

tempted by 'restaking' your staked assets for extra yield, but there's no free lunch. if it reuses the same collateral across multiple places, doesn't a problem in one cascade into slashing/losses? feels like you take extra risk equal to the extra yield. curious how safe it actually is in practice — anyone who's done it, weigh in
